Read MoreDue to construction the exhibits have been moved next door to the John Ben Shepperd building aka the President's Museum. It's totally free. You can currently see a small portion of the President's archival material as well as 2 exhibits from the Ellen Noel museum. The quilt exhibit was particularly unique and interesting. They also have a nice gift shop with soaps, fancy lotions, jewelry, blown glass knickknacks, stuffed toys and a few shirts. Also, don't forget to check out one of the Bush houses behind the museum. Definitely worth a visit, what else are you going to do in Odessa?
Wow!!! What a great place in Odessa! Parking was easy. The staff was super friendly and helpful! And finally the art of Salvador Dali was COOOOL!!! This was a very affordable family destination that was extremely enjoyable. We are lucky to have this place!
I got to see Tom Lea's "Stampede" in person!! I like this museum, it is small, quiet, and cost $0 to get in. Beautiful permanent collection, and I saw Diana Kersey sculptures in the other gallery. I also loved the garden. A peaceful area to listen to birds and admire nature and art.
My sister-in-law recommend visiting here while on our annual Christmas trip to Odessa to meet family/friends. Lucky us they had this special exhibit on hand of wedding dresses. Lots of craftsmanship apparent with early 18th century lace used. Be sure to vote for your favorite dress in the two galleries. Exhibit is free.
Very clean and great lay out . Worth going and it’s free . Even has a kids room.
