Read MoreWe were at whispering Pines for just around two years. We recently left to relocate for work but had that not happened, we would still definitely be there! We hope to be able to go back and visit or stay for a few days in the future. I would most definitely recommend staying there if for no other reason than to meet Jan and Elo! They are awesome, compassionate people and make staying there a joy!!
Loved the owners - very friendly! The spots are in an open gravel lot (like most of Odessa), the power was clean, water pressure was good, access by road was easy, T-Mobile cell reception, well lit spot, level sites, no obstructions for wide rigs with slides (we have a 35’ GD 5th wheel), & felt very safe. We would stay here again…
Definitely looking to move, its a little small but sometimes that's a good thing. Not very busy, it's a little hole-in-the-wall place but super quiet and actually has trees and grass. Very little thorns and many nice people. Edit: Already moved, it is truly a hidden gem among Texas RV parks. My dog loves that he doesn't have thorns and cactus in his paws all the time! Thank you Whispering Pines! Edit2: Elo and Jan are the nicest park owners you will come by. Thanks Fellas!
Quick overnight stay on the way to Big Bend. Very friendly owners helped get us situated upon arrival. Liked that they had a separate fenced area for overnighters apart from the long term rentals . The site had a concrete pad, picnic table & small grassy area which was nice for the dogs but we didn't spend any time outside due to noise from neighbors over the fence who seemed to be having a party.
I wouldn't go there when my life depends on it
