Read MoreMostly a disk golf course, but also has a pavilion where you can have a picnic and a small entirely man-made pond where you can fish. Said pond also had probably 50 ducks and geese in it too. It took me maybe 20min to walk around the entire park (not counting the time I took just staring at the ducks 😅). Disgusting amount of trash in/around the pond though.
This may be the only shaded trail in West Texas. Has a disk golf course and well maintained walking trails. So much wildlife. We saw hawk moth caterpillars, a giant king snake, frogs and ducks.
There's a nice fishing pond. They where doing some work there when we went. But it was a great place to be able to take our dog to play. We did run into one owner who had 2 dogs on leash but 1 was off leash and we about had a problem. Our dog is very protective of my daughter so we always have her son leash or long chain. Also there was a foul smell every so often. Just every now and then you would get a good dose of it. And considering most of the other places had little thorns all in the grassy areas this was the best place we found to take our dog. There's also a frisbee game that you can play all around the park. There are picnic tables there as Well.
Surprisingly good disc golf course. Traffic noise from the freeway is a detractor, but the course has a decent mix of open and small tree wooded holes.
Nice place to stay for a sunday's afternoon. There is not big fishes in there. My kids catched a lot of little ones that we put it back on the water. But they were so happy :) So it worthed. Also huge amount of ducks that can be feed with lettuce, oatmeal flakes, cooked rice and some other non toxic meals.
